   Visitors who are interested in local history and classic California craftsmanship will want to make a point of experiencing the Catalina Island Museum's tile walking tours, which showcase the world-famous colorful tiles that were manufactured on the island in the 1920s and 1930s.

   Once a month, the Catalina Conservancy invites residents and visitors to join a professional naturalist in the interior of the island for an informative hike.
